Following a weather-disrupted Friday at the Toyota Tour Championship, Thailand’s Nopparat Panichphol takes the 54-hole clubhouse lead at six-under-par 210.

Nopparat recorded six birdies and three bogeys to post a third-round 69 at Saujana Golf and Country Club’s Palm Course, where thunder and rain saw play to be suspended for the day at 5:34 PM. A total of 27 players were unable to finish their round and will only resume play tomorrow.

Trailing the clubhouse lead by one and currently the leading Malaysian in the field, young talent Paul San carded a solid two-under-par 70 to sit on five-under-par alongside Pakistan’s Ahmad Baig.

Among the players who did not complete their rounds today are overnight leader Suttinon Panyo, Malaysia’s Galven Green, and Khalin Joshi of India.

With three holes to play, Suttinon Panyo who hails from Chiang Mai is 12-under-par after achieving an amazing hole-in-one on the par 3 2nd hole. Two shots adrift and in the same group as Panyo, Galven sits on 10-under-par overall.

Meanwhile, Joshi is one shot further behind on nine-under-par overall after collecting five birdies and one bogey through 15 holes.

Round three of the RM350,000 Toyota Tour Championship jointly sanctioned by the Asian Development Tour will resume tomorrow at 7:15AM.
